Storehouse reinvent the wheel with another sweaty seasonal session at K'Rd's A-Space Dec 6th...
Aloha music nuts…
Writing to advise that Storehouse reassemble for a traditional seasonal sweaty session of blues, calypso and random boogie next Saturday 6th December at futuristic luxe venue A-Space, 309 Karangahape Road. The former “Lovebucket” joint has been discreetly reimagined - and as a decent, dark, black wooden room, it’s a good spot for our sound. Expect a good night.
Tickets are here, with a special early bird discount available for the first 20 punters.
Other news? Dozens of my new tracks languish on tape awaiting mixing and mastering (and some vocal overdubs). With a visit to Los Angeles on the horizon, there’s a slim chance at liberation (given the number of high-functioning studios there) if stars align. We shall see.
Meanwhile here’s a recent TR session appearance on my old friend Mike Jensen’s new album “Remembering”, tracked luxuriantly at the Kenneth Myer’s Centre.
Post-jazz/funk/fusion, with great groove and interplay, lots of brilliant corners to dwell in. I recommend it.
Take it easy and hope to see you at a gig over summer.
Cheers,
Tom R
